I'd like to pretend that I'm new at all this, but the truth is I'm not. Been there done that and it's all been said before anyway. But it's a lot easier to say, "Oh I'm just a novice -- I've never really done that before" and then to be good -- a natural -- than to hype yourself up and disappoint people in the end. At least that's how I see it.

At some time you have to begin, to make mistakes and do simple stuff; otherwise how are you going to learn to do the finer, more complicated stuff that everyone looks at in awe? So start out, make those mistakes. Nothing wrong with being a novice, as anything doing is worth doing poorly at first.

Our entire education system (books, lessons, etc.) is based on other people's experience and knowledge. Without learning from other's experiences, we would have to reinvent the wheel countless times.
