Okay, that's cute, but not really. While I enjoy a good homonym as much as the next girl, I have far more interest in bites than bytes. I don't know how we functioned before computers (more slowly and carefully, I imagine), but I never was very good technically.

I remember when I was really young and my brother had an atari. I had no idea what all the numbers stood for back then, he would say something about how great it was, 16-bit graphics and all of that. These days I get frustrated trying to explain screen resolution to my parents and friends...

I can't write about something so digital and cold. I'm left speechless, my heart sad with the weight of this new world of metal. I want to grow flowers from every keyboard, which would be named poetry. I think I have found God, but it is not pretty.

I like to byte. Ahahaaha, what a pun. I spend so much time online I start to wonder if the life I live on my computer is more or less real than the one I live in my house, in my town, with my family. Part of me wonders, if I had a choice, which one I would pick. And another part of me wonders... who would make me choose? I certainly wouldn't.

When I see the word byte it always makes me think of "bite" even though I know better now. I think it's just the sound, but it still seems to work for me. It has a sort of hard-edge feel to it that always makes me think of jagged harsh things, or cold technology. so there.

Byte me. I don't think that's the way that this word is supposed to be interpreted. It stands for the amount of information held on a small disk. How do they put bytes on a computer anyway? It's information crammed into a space the size of a pin head that takes me well over sixty seconds to write. Okay I'm at the end. Heck. I'm done.

Yt was a cyberworld now, and there was nothing left of my mother. Yt was not dark (there was the glow of a trillion pixels) and yt was not cold (there was the heat never fully dispersed by the thousand fans) but yt was empty and there was nothing left of my mother. yt was cyber and yt was virtual and wy would all soon be swallowed up by yt and turned ourselves to bytes.

"Listen you, when I turn that on I'm probably going to start typing up scematics for nuclear weapons and plotting to kill the president. I saw it in a documentary once, I don't want to end up like that." "What, that's-" I began, but the gun in my hand said different.

byte, bit, bit, byte... the computer churned, hitting its floating point calucation limit, as the DNA construct starting coming undone... the technician in the white lab coat broke into a light sweat on his upper brow as he discovered the process was indeed irreversable, he had just opened pandora's box... and there was no turning back now...

One byte -- the smallest bit of information you can get from a computer. a Yes, or a No: sometimes that's all you need to know to make a decision; oftentimes you need a bit more -- but not much, and with that you just pile on the yeas and nays to make your decision clear.

I can't honestly say that I have a lot of interest in 'bytes'. I'm more into the visceral pleasure of bites - that feeling of having the nape of someones neck between my teeth. Not in a kinky way, just in a "I like you a lot, so I'll bite you gently to proove it" kind of a way.
