The fight to the death was shorter than anyone expected. For a baby to kill a wolf with a lucky bite to the femoral artery was something no one could have imagined. Yet here we are. This baby will grow to be our King one day, and he will be known as Wolf Killer, the baby who saved us all.

Duel is another word for fight and in all cases, fighting should be about solving a problem not causing more.

A long time ago this was a means of settling disputes. Unfortunately, it remained the main method of dispute sorting until late into the 20th Century when a referee decided to give 2 footballers who disputed a penalty two pistols to go into the car park and 'sort it'. One ended up leading goal scorer that season, the other didn't.

I haven't seen her eyes, in all of these months. From the slow, awkward stages of finding our own personal space, where we dance around each other, to this, this contact made by necessity. We don't look each other in the eyes. I answer her questions, and she answers mine, briefly; we don't even bother pretending we know each other at all, anymore. Our mirrors are broken and we have forgotten what it meant to be real.

DUeling Two people battle over something they both thing is worthy, right and justice. Usually ends with someone either dying or becoming immensely embarrassed in front of the spectators. Many centuries ago it was a thing of honor, now it mainly just involves drunken men with high egos at the local bar or pub. Also fun to do in a video game. dueling can be done with fists, swords, weapons, or words - although that is usually sparring. Yes, dueling is not what it used to be, that is for sure. Perhaps we should start duel clubs that do not suck, and see if that can bring back the honor the word once held. Jeebus, when is the time going to run out? I am just rambling now... SO. How bout them bears? Dueling... Yep, it's a riot and one of a kind thing. Well, maybe not one of a kind considering there are millions of words for it, and it has been around since Bible times. Unless you don't believe in the bible. Then it has just been around for a fucklong time. Yeah. Is time up yet? *stares at watch?* Maybe I should have typed slower. This thing...

They dueled until they could barely lift their arms. Sweat dripped from their bodies in cascades. The duel had lasted for hours. But, evenly matched, they parried each other's blows. Sure a few hits were scored, but when dueling with carrots not a lot of damage can be done.

today I dueled with my fiance about our ceremony. I felt that I could not let go of my vision for this occasion. I made him feel bad, although that was not my intention. I feel like I can't compromise on this one. I felt like he was saying no before he even fully understood what I was saying and wanting. I feel like I have no rights in what I want to do because he is paying for everything. I feel like I have to agree when he says no, and I feel like he has been saying no to all of my ideas.

A dueal is a challenge between two people. That is why people say I challenge you to a duel. Most I think would imagine a duel between swords or the old west cowboys with the their guns. But I suppose we could change those images to be less ugly or assuming they end in death. Perhaps though death is inherhent in the definition of a duel. "I challenge you to a duel." Competition is also a major part of a duel, one has to have competitive spirit or in the case of inherent death a strong to desire to avoid death. It seems in many stories women are the ultimate prize in duel, for the one who survives. Perhaps too there is the desire to bring order to the wilder parts of society when the sheriff faces off with the horse thief. A duel is a face off, two go head to head.

This is interplay this is interaction. there is no singularity, though all of it is taking place inside of a singularity. there is no winner or loser, there is only life. life and love. and i know not what either of them mean, or where they are hiding. they are hiding only within themselves, for what isnt life or love.
