petal

[Ravyn]
It's often been compared to a flower, but if so then hers and mine are different kinds of flowers. Does that make us heterosexuals? I hope not. Still, it's worth carefully opening the petals to find what's inside.

"Well, Petal," he said as he placed the manuscript carefull back into its box, "What shall we do now?" She smiled sweetly, "I'm not sure what I'll do after this, but you are about to die." It wasn't clear what surprised him more, her words, or the bullet hole that suddenly appeared in his forhead.

Flowers have petals. They're very soft, and they squirt out soft, sticky juice when you crush them. I used to think flowers were stupid. Until I got my first bouquet. His name was Robert and he was in my eleventh grade chemistry class. We were lab partners, and he got to liking me, during the acid and fire experiment. The next day, I received a bundle of roses with a note. It read: To Daenor, Your face is as beautiful as the flame from a strand of Cu. Your heart is pure Au. You are like one of the Noble Gasses, whilst I am a lowly Alkaline Earth Metal. Is there any chance of bonding? Your Ag Prince, Robertium. Yes. Robertium. As you can see, Robert liked chemistry. No. He loved it. And though his attempts at romancing were a little misguided, they were still cute. I have those roses still, and every year on our anniversary, Robert and I take out his note and the roses and laugh at his pathetic attempts to win my heart.

A lone petal falls slowly to the floor, fluttering, the last relic of a last hope. Where does the dead fllower stand? In a bottle, in a jar? In an empty home, or an empty heart? Is the flower real, or is it in pretence?

From a flower. What would a flower be without it? Nothing. Roses are probably 90% petals and not much without it. Yet their sole purpose is to decorate, to illustrate, to draw attention. After that they wilt as the fruit is brone

I just found a website where you could make digital flowers, layering petals. The site also had a community garden. I didn't really like the flower I came up with, and, when looking at other people's flowers, realized my petal scheme was just inadequate. It was a sad experience. But I liked the garden.

Petal makes me think of flowers, pink ones. Petals are soft, smooth, like the flesh of a person that you love. Petals smell sweet, and are curved, a very sensous, beautiful experience.

The flower's petals were beautiful and unique in the field of flowers. There she was in the field by this one flower, hair blowing in the wind, and he saw her and froze.

Funny how my perspective has changed over the years. The word appeared and the first thing I saw was PETA-L, as in a list-serv for PETA members [*shudder*], and then I was stuck because what do I write at that point -- I happen to work for a biotech and am constantly in fear of a "save the rats" bombing -- not a very partial author on this topic, so...maybe I'll just go back and write about flowers... What do you think? So, I bought a sunflower the other day -- not because I have a particular affinity for sunflowers -- no, no, not by any means. I mean, they're right up there with carnations for me as far as flower quality, you know? Definitely the Wal-Mart brand of the botanicals. But I HAD to pick up flowers for my kids' teachers because it was Bring a Flower to Your Teacher day, so, there ya go, pretty obvious. Anyway, stopped by the little shanty of a nursery on the way home, searched for something...anything but carnations or sunflowers...found nothing but else but roses, which I absolutely detest [a story best saved for later], and so that's how I ended up...

I miss you Petal. I wonder how you are. I wonder if the drugs have taken hold of you again. Your sister told me that your lover had given you that dark eye. You deserve to be free from all this but nobody can help you if you refuse to be helped. I love you, no matter what.

How can one describe the utter perfection of some specimens of flowers? The sheer vibrency of the color? The aesthetically pleasing ratios of lenth and width? The soft texture of the thin petals? The visible variations caused by minute genetic mutations in the complex DNA of every cell? A variation on a cliche: A picture is worth a thousand words to those who can't write.

The flower was bright red. Almost too read to be real, he thought. I don't understand. How can the color be so bright, so vibrant, the petals so soft, when everything else is so dark, and dull. Shrugging he pulls himself up, draws his sword and turns to face the demon that knocked him down.

Thinking of a rose, a rose this morning at about 8:30, the sun was too bright in the room. Petal in print like that kind of looks like fetal, which really isn't pleasant at all, is it? Petal monitor, would use to check on how your plants are doing. What a corny terrible joke.

Petal is a part of a flower. Petals are like the leaves of a flower. They come in many varieties and forms. We can observe properties such as hydrophobicity with water. They are the charm of the flower.

Can't decide if it's early summer or late spring, but the peony petals are sagging and the coreopsis ones are springing to life. You learned to pedal yesterday through all those petals, your newly six-year old legs finally able to balance your two-wheeler.

petal's lie around me, kissing my skin, dancing on the wind. they come before the fall, where all things die to raise again. it's a life that beckon's to us all, for we are all petals in the wind. you'll see them, falling, falling, falling, speaking in whispers that tell us that spring will come again. new life comes then goes, easing around like spirits, like petals, on the wind.

There's the lily that is pure and white. Belonging to something that isn't quite so pure in the eyes of the world. The rose of too many colors, but red most of all. It's blood rather than love, I think. But the thorns, they are accurate to represent the rigours of affection. Regardless, they all feel different, soft or waxy and all too captivating.

a petal is a part of a flower, a little part and many of them make up a whole flower. All kinds of flowers infact. They are very scented and make up beautiful displays. You can also call someone a petal, which is a nice way of saying they are lovely or very nice. Petals come in all shapes and colours and are very pretty in the gardens or in the home for decoration.

petal are beautiful things. Ther=y are present on flowers. Like the moon stumbling over the grassy sky at night they complete the world around us. they are completein the universe. They are able to tell life from death, happiness from sadness, and most importantly lies from truth. I love petals for the truth, their sorrow, and of course there bannas. shakespears once said" oh petal thus thy complete my soul".

When I got married I had a bouquet of daises that a friend of the groom had made for me. I was told that I could keep it in the refrigerator until and after the wedding. We had a tiny fridge in that first apartment but we made room for it. Several months after the wedding we cleaned out the fridge because we'd finally just run out of room and couldn't shove anymore in. There I found my bouquet, surrounded by curled petals that had fallen off with every bump and jostle.

A large petal can be a beautiful thing, then again, so can a small one. Beauty is simply relative. For instance: If you saw a rose next to a daisy, and had to pick one, you'd choose the rose, right? The more beautiful of the two. However, if you saw that same daisy alone in a field of grass, and you had the choice between grass or daisy - which would you choose? Would you leave the daisy there for beauty? Of the fact that one solitary daisy could stand, full of her beautiful petals, alone in a field of grass... Or take the beauty for yourself, and leave the grass to be monotonously the same?
