I screamed for my brother to hurry out of the shop, but the lava was coming so fast. I had to run down the street just to avoid it. I saw him come out of the ice cream shop, but he had so little room. The lava had all but surrounded him and trapped him on the island of concreate. I yelled for him to wait, and I ran at him. I lept into the air, landing hard on the concreate. I heard, before I even felt it, something snap. I collapsed to the ground. Why couldn't I feel my legs? Then I woke up. True dream.

I washed my hands as quickly as I could. I hated to be the last one to dinner. I don't know why my grandma kept that gritty soap in the guest bathroom. Maybe she wanted to discourage people from using it.
