  1. The clouds drifted into view, blocking out the sun momentarily. “Is it gonna rain?”
He looked up for the paper, “Nah.”
She smiled at the front page as he lifted it back up. That farmer attitude, sensing rain, sensing trouble. She relied on it.

  2. I see the word overcast and cant think of anything but dark skies.

  3. ‘Twas an overcast day on a less than sunny May, and I was hoping for some smoking on the pier down by the bay. 4. Its not overcast today its actually been quite sunny. there is a breeze which helps to be able to sit outside and I like sitting outside. I can drink and smoke outside. Im not sure why I need to do that but I do. ok I’m feeling a bit shitty today, that nap didn’t really help although it seemed like a good idea at the time. I should really do that creative writing course I have been thinking about.

  5. The sky was what the humans called overcast, which was like the underside of a pike-runner, which was similar to earth iron but much murkier: black like the devil’s heart. There went his scatterbrained brain, scattering; he had to get a hold of that. He glanced down from the sky at the battlefield strewn with so many dead, pink corpses he felt slightly sick. His sickles were crimson with their blood and he blinked away the smoke from the hell-slingers’ maws.
