  2. This isn’t a word I like. Or maybe it’s the person who does it that I don’t like. I never have and still don’t like being monitored. I think my dislike of being monitored started in grade school with the “Hall Monitor,” a little general with way too much power over a stupidly small space. Seriously. What kind of person would be excited about being picked as a Hall Monitor? My 4th grade frenemy, Leigh, that’s who. And that right there tells you everything you need to know about Leigh, and probably more than a little bit about me.
