Quartz is the color of Frisk’s eyes – milky grey, smooth and clear, unique, everything they ever wanted them to be. Quartz is the color of Chara’s skin, pale and smooth yet rough with scars that not everyone can see, that have to be properly looked for.
The quartz, embedded in the bedrock, took on a strange glow during the night time. He had never seen anything like this before, the rock seemed to connect with some kind of energy produced elsewhere. He watched it during the evening, the light being almost bright enough to read by.
Before he entered the tent, he decided to take one more closeup look. As he approached, he thought he saw shapes moving within the crystals.
i was born part quartz.
i never thought anything about it until recently. it was just normal for me.
but now i find myself wanting to be like the others.
they don’t have a planet to save. they don’t have to worry about… slow aging. or whatever.
they’re just normal.
