  7. I stood there in the field. I knew I should do it. I had to. But I just couldn’t bring myself to do it. To claim him. He stood there and my friend stood next to him. I loved him more but that didn’t matter. She was my friend and she liked him to. So she could have him.

    Claim. The word is funny. To claim something or someone as your own. Is it right? Do they have their own choice? Some things don’t won’t to be claimed. I know I don’t.
