What would his math teacher think now, the one who strode down the aisle and slapped her yardstick on his desk when his head nodded during algebra 2, who at the end gave him a B- and called him the most improved student in his class?
Danny gathered up his stuff and flopped onto the empty seat one row ahead, away from the sleeping boy.
