  1. I was sitting underneath a tree, staring up at its dead, black, cracked branches. Tears stremed down my face. They made clean paths down through the grit that covered my whole body. I reached out longingly, hoping that it might still have a spark of life inside, buried, treasured away. It had been a few years since the attack. They sprayed everything and everyone they could find with a sickly, slimy oil. No one knew what it was exactly. I’d been hiding. I should have saved them. Oh, I should have saved them.

  2. She sighed as she saw the oil start dripping from her car. On the middle of the highway, this certainly wasn’t her day. A trucker pulled to a stop behind her car, and a old man climbed out of his cab. “Need some help, lil lady?”
“No, no, I’m fine. I’ll have triple A on the phone in a few.” She forced a smile, a frowned once she realized her phone had no bars. “Uh… wait…can I get a ride?”

  3. The dark cloud loomed closer, and closer turning everything black. I tried to swim away, I did as fast as I could but it was no use. In no time at all I was lost in the murky slimey substance surrounded me. I couldn’t breath, it was choking me, I turned around frantically trying to find a way out but couldn’t. When I did find air it was on the surface, I was already dead, just another victim amongst millions of others caught in the spill.

  4. Oil! Olive Oil, Canola Oil, Penzoil….where would we be without such a precious commodity? Our world absolutely cannot function without it!
There are multiple uses for oil, from the basic human necessity of food to the basic human conveniences of modern transportation.

Let’s examine various types of oil used for cooking. One basic oil for baking is Crisco, which is formulated as both a lard, of sorts, to the synthetic liquid form of vegetable oil.

  6. Fish oil – good for the old joints. Also a lovely film I watched with my mummy many years ago called Lorenzo’s Oil and for the record I rarely see beauty in oil paitings – I much prefer water colours.

  7. The lamp was old and in need of repair. The only man who could do it lived 100 miles away. They ran and ran and ran with the lamp. The man didn’t have any oil to use to help with the repairs. The citizens ran and ran all the way back to their homes to try and find some. They had none to offer.

  8. The oil spill was very tragic. Many animals died and the environment was damaged. I hope the spill will be entirely cleaned up and the animals saved. I have no idea what else to write and I am sure my grammar is failing. Sorry! Yeah, oil is damaging.
