  1. “Go on!” said Jennifer coldly.
“Please don’t make me,” Kristine pleaded. “He’s going to catch me!”
“Well, then you better make up a good story to feed him!” Jennifer spat back, shoving Kristine into the open.
Kristine lurched forward but caught herself, clumsily. Surprisingly, no one was looking at her. She peered around, trying to walk casually.
“He’s not here!” she whispered back into the bushes. “I don’t think he came to-” Kristine stopped short.
“What? He’s not? What did you say?” Jennifer crawled out of the bushes to see Joe holding Kristine with his hand clamped over her mouth. He glared at Jennifer with wild eyes.

  5. “I love you scout,” my dad always called me scout. Though, I was no Finch, I was just Emily. Just so happens dad loved to call me scout. I think he’d like it better if I was more like a Finch. That way maybe I could amount to something even if it was just walking a man to his door.

  9. He couldn’t bear to be like this anymore. He was not whole, but rather torn and broken, the shatters of his eyes to small to be held. But he could not live like this, he had learn to live whole and as one for the many years to come. But how do you pick up the threads of an old life? He stared into the box that had all he held dear in this good world, and he knew he fight it, for they were immobile and only he had limbs that could breach like branches. He was scout, sent out into solitude to see if was really that bad. And it was. And it scared. And he was ready to come home.

  10. I wish I were more in touch with nature. Everytime I go outside, I feel infinetely out of place, as if I were man made. I am, technically. I don’t know. I feel so much better sitting on an old couch, in front of the fireplace, a cup of coffee and cognac in one hand and a good book in the other, while it rains or snows outside, where everything belongs to a completely different word from the one I’m quite comfortable in.

  21. one word is one word. it cant hurt anything. it doesn’t have a meaning. it is just a word. i don’t know why people get extremely hurt over one word. it can not hurt you physically. but it can have a great impact mentally. we should let one word or any amount of words hurt us. they are just letters put together in the alphabet to make something sound good. and we put our own definitions on them. They are not worth the pain.stress, or even heartbreak it will have in your life. it is just one word.
