  1. Come, my dear, for the time is nigh.
It’s time to shut the lights and close the door.
A part of us begins to die
as our feet gingerly cross the kitchen floor.

Come, my dear, just a few steps more.
Soon our feet won’t touch this floor.
Fleeing from these realities we shun,
Step by step, we begin to run.

Now, my dear, for the day has come.
To begin our journey toward the sun
We’ll travel it together, You and I
    this trail
of despair and hope, of tears and mirth,
    this trail of time.

    One day,
    Someday,
    Perfectly.

    We will fly.

  7. Adverb. One of my biggest pet peeves is when someone uses an adjective in place of an adverb. Please. Perfectly, not perfect. She danced perfect. She danced perfectly.

I took his beautiful creation and thrust it into his belly, twisting it with brutal force, trying to heap upon him all the pain and suffering that he’d caused so many others.
